Today on this Veteran’s Day I remember not only my sacrifice, but the sacrifice of my friends, family, and other’s I served with. It has taught me a lot about loyalty, duty, respect, selfless-service, honor, integrity, and personal change. It also taught me pain, and that it doesn’t completely go away. It slowly gets better. When you decide to get stronger.
Being in Army has also changed the way I do makeup, and fashion. When it comes to fashion I have to wear flat shoes, because I was injured, and took a hard blow to my right knee. Now both of my knees are messed up pretty bad. I will always have to wear flats or tennis shoes, but that is ok. I was never a high heel person anyway. Beauty has become more subtle because, I’m used to not wearing any makeup. When It’s come to my hair I like it to be quick, and easy.
The military has changed the way I do everything. Serving this country made me the person I am today. I am thankful, and grateful for all life. I know that my life was not guaranteed. Today is the day to honor those who sacrificed a lot, and other’s a lot more. Some who have given the ultimate price.
Don’t forget to thank a Veteran when you see one. It has been an honor to serve this country, and protect the people of this country.
Happy Veteran’s Day
